Being from Colorado, I have always been drawn to the mountains. They are a second home to me, a refuge from the busy-ness of my life. This piece was inspired by my love for them. I loved the idea of creating a world of never-ending mountains. I wanted to add the patterns to bring in something else for your eyes to look at. I worked to create many different patterns by doodling in my sketchbook. I had an idea of a color palette right when I began, and didn’t play around with it a lot. I love the end result, and would love to turn this into a pattern.
